1873 the foundation of the Firm, which was later to become König & Reeker was laid in St. Petersburg, as it was then called. We are therefore certainly one of the oldest reinsurance broker firms in the world.

Changing fortunes led the Firm through two World Wars via Berlin to Cologne. Reinsurance activities are pursued with a long term view. 130 years have proven that our long term relations with cedants and reinsurers have stood the test of time. Personal contacts and extensive experience, which stem, after all, from the very history of a firm, are decisive factors in many difficult business situations. Equally important, however, are future aims and the flexibility to master the always changing market situations.

We feel young enough, armed with the experience which has grown over decades, to manage the future with great confidence.The continous endeavours to render service to our clients, which distinguished our predecessors, shall also always guide us in fulfilling our tasks.
